Congrats on the new job! In 51 days I am eligible to switch positions within the company I work for and that is the ideal job... that or a unit clerk.

It is my opinion and understanding of the laws of the State of Arizona that an officer does not shoot to kill, rather to stop the threat. Granted, one is most assuredly the same, however vocabulary is everything.

slightly off topic, but once years ago i had a lady call 911 because her animal stopped breathing. i politely explained that 911 was for human emergencies only and advised her to contact the vet of her choice.

Well my manager wouldn't let me take a reduction in hours to attend summer school (5 days to 4 a week) so I will be taking EMT-B School in the fall now. For the better, actually, in a number of ways. More time to prepare, I guess!

Oh I know that - and that is a good thing... however I like to be out and about... I sat in a cave (dispatch) for over 5 almost 6 years and now I sit in an office... I like to be able to be out and about. I start to feel the walls close in around me otherwise!

Got a good one for this one... both of what I said as a dispatcher and what the engine said as they cleared!!! I actually answered 911 for this and dispatched the engine company to this call... A guy called because he was pissing on the side of a building (0300) and managed to zip himself up...
