Pretty much, the way they have divided up the territory and run BLS rigs in so many places that need ALS. They fact that they let so many rinky dink company's operate in the county, its mind boggling.

SNFs send train wreck patients to me in the ER all the time. They always hand off to EMS with a ****ty report and a BS reason as to how long the patient has been "not normal". I would not worry about it, there really isn't anyway that you could have done to improve or further harm the patient...

Do you need a ambulance drivers license/permit to work for a bls interfacility transport service? Or just for working 912 calls?

Most people are starting from zero. There are few who are already familiar with the subject matter. Make lots of flash cards and drill. The first couple of weeks are all about memory and recall. You'll do fine.

They also throw in random test questions that don't affect your score sometimes.

If speaking literally then yes, we do it for a pay check. We don't do it to get rich lol, we end up overworked, overstressed and underpaid.

We certainly don't go into ems to make money lol.
