Jump in with both feet and don't be afraid to be aggressive. The more you show that you want to be there, the more the crew will be agreeable to letting you do things. Just remember to stay within your scope of practice...medics sometimes have a bad habit of allowing students to do too much...

I would try the appeal process, stating your case in regards to the state you are practicing in. I-85 though still requires a dual lumen device station. If you weren't trained by your program, they have done you an injustice

In Ohio, the EMT- I training is 140 hours that includes pharmacology, cardiology and medication administration. Depending on the training facility, it might take weeks or a few months.
