This is not going smooth! I cannot find any information on re-taking the practicals. I'll try to contact the appropriate people where I went through the course. :blink:

I know this, as I already completed my practicals at the end of my EMS class, but I waited a year to take the NREMT cognitive test(and passed), only to find out my practicals expired and I need to retake them in order to be certified.

Does anyone know why NREMT doesn't list EMT-B practicals but they do for advanced and Medic? Is there no intermediate now? I'm outta the loop!

Thank you MedicBender! I'll try to contact them. This is a vicious circle- No sooner that I pass one thing that I end up having to retake another! I guess practice makes perfect.

I'm not looking for a "loop hole". I've completed the practicals once before, I didn't know you only had a year before the practicals expired.

I Passed the NREMT! Now it's saying I need to re-do the practicals as it was a year since I was tested on them. Any advice? I feel like it's one road block after another.

So, no matter what I perform the initial assessment? It does help, Thank you! I think it will be easier once I'm doing ride alongs and seeing/doing it first hand. I appreciate all the help.

I'm familiar with the assessments; as I should be, I'm just confused as to when I use certain ones at certain times.

I'm getting confused on when to use the different assessments. I've been taking practice tests and there have been a few questions where it asks me what assessment I would use first. Initial assessment, Trauma assessment, secondary assessment... :unsure:
