Hey, I'm an EMT-B going through medic school and would like some additional help with 12 Lead ECG's. Know of any good resources out there? (Online or books) Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks!
Welcome to the site! And good luck with your Basic class! I am from Ohio as well, and I know of a tactical medic who has taught a seminar on tactical EMS. It was a really interesting session. Where in Ohio are you? And again, welcome to the site and the profession!
I actually had to take the Basic class twice, that was only because I couldn't pass that Registry test the first time around. I just wasn't in the proper mind set to take the class, but that second time around, I was and I passed.
My first class I had 12, and only 3 actually came out with...
I thought this would be a good idea for a thread. No matter how long you've been doing this job, no matter if you think you've seen everything, there are still those calls that you never saw coming and you think to yourself, "Well, that was a first."
A couple weeks ago, we had a run, and it...
Just go over your weak points. Don't over study. If you over study, you'll surely fail. Just relax and don't stress out. Look at it like you're taking the ACT or other standardized test when you were in school. Get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast that morning, and just relax when you are...
Don't know if this point was already made.
I'm a volunteer. We sit through the same classes. The same number of hours. Are held to the same standards as far as obtaining our certification. We have to pass basically the same test. We learn the same skills. We all have to get CEU's in order to...
I've been humming the song "Celebration" since Friday afternoon, because that's when I found out that I passed my NREMT-B exam, and this was my first go at it. So to say that I'm excited, is an understatement.
Wicked is AWESOME! I saw it a few years ago when it was on tour. And as far as the ticket price, it's really no different if you were to go see it in NYC. But it's a really good show.
Somewhere between 66-70. The last I checked when I took it was 66, and I only answered just a few more after that before it kicked me off. And I passed.
Congrats! I passed my test this last Friday (was my first try though). We both have something to celebrate. Now I'm just waiting on the state to process everything through so I can start running...
I know in Ohio you have to get your NREMT card first to get your state card, but afterwards you are no longer required to keep it current. But as far as IL, I would check with your state office to b e 100%.
Well, sad to say that the only things I have in my car right now is a CPR face shield that goes on my key ring and a steth. But I hope to get a BP cuff soon though.
