Funny, I am on that same AMR list and have been for a year in Santa Clara County. I am # 10. Does anybody know when they will start picking up EMT'S?

Hi all, Has anybody here done an AMR Academy in California? What type of content is covered and is there anything I should do to prepare? Thanks!

I am in Santa Clara County CA in the Bay Area. They said I passed the oral interview, and now I come into fill out new hire paperwork. But then I have to wait for their next academy, so they put me on the waitlist. I am still trying to figure out how their process works.

Kecpercussion, have you been on the AMR SCC academy waitlist for awhile?

Thanks...I know their HR Dept can sometimes be a little slow. I know you get a call if you pass and a letter if you are rejected.

I didnt get that much. All they told me was if you pass the oral interview you get a phone call within a week, and you get put on a future academy wait list. Looks like you are ahead of me then. Good luck!

OK, so it looks like we are in the same boat. I wonder how many people interviewed? I have no EMT experience, was certified back in January of this year, and finding a job has been real tough.

I had my first interview last Monday...They said they give you a call in a week. Do they normally do second interviews?
