Do ambulance companies have attendant or driver choices when applying?

I know one does in my area(los angeles)but wanted to know what is like the average of other companies.
What I mean by my question is that when applying for a job as an EMT do they offer you the choice of not driving and just being an attendant?

The companies that do this are less than favorable. Any reputable company will not give you the option and you will do both. Search some other threads on here about LA county ems. For now, try and limit your applications to AMR, McCormick, CARE, Bowers, and look into the surrounding counties.
