I have been having high stress and depression for the past year. In order of least to most effective the things that help so far are:
Exercise, stand up comedy or anything that makes you laugh, family and volunteer work or helping others.

Anyone tried anything else?

I have had a pretty rough past year, and things that i have found that have helped me tremendously:

1)Always have a goal for yourself, no matter how minuscule it may be. Anything that helps you feel better about yourself will help So far this year i have stopped smoking, got CCEMTP certified, and am about to take the FP-C in order to further my career. I have also taken on further responsibilities at my current position which help me feel more productive while I'm on shift.
2)Hobbies. Find something you enjoy doing, and do it, a lot. For me its fishing and golf.
3) Exercise. I have only recently started working out again, but it has made a huge difference in stress management for myself.
