Mercy and Air Methods are one in the same.

Starting pay for RN is $30-$35 per hour. Overtime after 8 hours a day and double time after 12 hours. So if you start your shift at 0600 you get normal pay from 0600-1400. 1400-1800 is overtime. 1800-2359 is double time. 0000-0600 is normal pay.

Once you get 40 hours of normal pay a week then anything over that is either overtime or double time pay.

Mercy also has a short term call of bonus to pick up shifts. $250 for 12 hours and $500 for a full 24 hour shift.

The way the pay works started in the middle of last year and we were getting some massive bonuses to work during COVID so a lot of our pay is a little off right now. This will be the first full year with the new way they are paying us. I know the nurses were easily making over $80k/yr prior to the change and it only went up.

Thanks for the breakdown man, its hard to find somewhat accurate info on Google. lol
Gonna start with ground transport (cct) then hopefully get into air transport. Always admired the knowledge and calmness of the flight crew back in my AMR days.

How about medic pay?
Typically $20-$25 starting pay in SoCal. On the very low side it’s about $56k/yr and on the high side it’s about $76k/yr depending on what your shift start time is.
