It's been just a little while since this news broke widely, but it appears that the man behind Mrs. Doubtfire, Patch Adams, Adrian Cronauer, and so many other memorable roles has passed away today. He's known to have had long-standing trouble with drugs, alcohol, and depression. There's much from what I've seen that his death is from a suicide cause. Until it's conclusively known as the cause, let's not speculate and just remember him for the amazing actor he was.

RIP indeed. His personal history and cause of death certainly don't lessen the tragedy of his untimely death.

From the Movie Patch Adams....

Hunter Patch Adams: What's wrong with death sir? What are we so mortally afraid of? Why can't we treat death with a certain amount of humanity and dignity, and decency, and God forbid, maybe even humor. Death is not the enemy gentlemen. If we're going to fight a disease, let's fight one of the most terrible diseases of all, indifference.

Na-Nu Na-Nu Mork... You are going to be Greatly missed...

Thoroughly enjoyed him in Jumanji, Hook and Patch Adams when I was a kid.

A great shame, mental illness is often the silent killer, because you can't see it it's often ignored.

RIP!
