I currently live in Illinois if anyone can help me. I enlisted when i was 18 and received an ELS for PTSD. I was going through tough times and i just wanted to get out. I completed boot camp and made it half way through SOI. I wanted to know if this would prevent me from obtaining an EMT-B and EMT-P license. Would it also prevent me from getting employed too?

It won't prevent you from getting your EMT or paramedic. There is a chance that it could prevent you from getting some of the more competitive jobs or civil service jobs, though I'm not 100%. For example, our department accepts honorable discharges only. I'm not military, so I don't know how they code ELS.

You work for like a fire department? What if I wanted to work in the private sector like Superior and so forth. Thanks for the quick response.
