Texas has no state income tax and yet we're never in a deficit... not allowed by state constitution. Maybe the rest of the US should follow suit...

Doesn't Cali beat Texas in population by 33%? I mean heck, even if your people make less, you still have more to take money from.
Heck, Cali has a higher sales tax than Texas... so you guys are really punting the pooch somewhere in the budget.

Its cause we are paying off the interest for our massive budget deficit
and we have a ton more Public Programs since we are such a liberal state
If Texas had the same weather as CA id totally move there
I hear Texas is wayy cheap on the housing and cost of living front....
