For us (BLS) we usually have 2 full EMT-Bs, One provisional (under 18 with an EMT license) and one non EMT (either in classes or hasn't started class yet). What about you?

That's a lot of people, surely that isn't for the majority of your runs. For us, BLS is 2 EMT'I'85/AEMT. ALS is 1 Paramedic and 1 I'85/AEMT with the very occasional double medic(usually a new medic doing upgrade/check off rides).

ALS calls get two medics in a squad, 2 EMTS (or an EMT and a driver) in an ambulance. CPR and MVAs get a fire response.

BLS units are staffed with 2 certified EMTs. ALS are either 1 Medic and 1 EMT or 2 medics. CCT are usually 2 EMTs and 1 RN.

Nope, this is how it goes if we have a full crew of 4 ready to respond. 2 is the minimum for us which happens rarely, 4 is our max. Surprisingly, this is how most of our calls go.

BLS is two basics. ILS is one EMT-I and one basic (or two intermediates), ALS is one medic and an emt of some level, basic or intermediate.

We never roll clown car to anything (more than three people on a unit)

2 EMTs minimum, but we usually have at one other EMT or EMT-in-training, with a maximum of 4.

Two Paramedics per Ambulance. ALS trucks will have 1 ACP 1 PCP.
Ambulance may have more if there's a student on board or someone is doing return to work after leave.

Rapid Response Unit, Special Response Unit (tactical, MCI, etc) have one medic PCP or ACP in SUV. Sup's are the same.

Multi-Patient Unit (bus) staffed with one PCP.

Community Paramedics are two ACPs in an SUV.

2 EMT's in a BLS truck
MICU is P/B in some occasions its two medics.

If we have a student Medic or Basic, or someone completing FTO time, we have 3, If we hae a serious call there are times we will pull a driver from Fire or the such to have an extra set of hands in the back.

more than 1 Basic 1 Medic in a BLS truck can be constraining there are exceptions to the rule, but more than 3 on a truck 2 basics one Medic is a clown car.

In Jersey, my squad is state certified so we need two EMTs. Our MICUs have two medics.

Standard crew for us is 1 EMT & 1 Medic. It's not uncommon to have a 3rd, either a new-hire doing EMT FTO, a Medic stepping up from EMT to Medic, a student in Medic school, etc. Every once in a while there will be two medics on a truck. We have one ambulance downtown that runs as a BLS truck. It's an experiment to see how it goes with a BLS truck dispatched to take some of the load off the ALS units. Generally speaking we only allow one "extra". You probably won't see doubling up of, say, a new-hire doing EMT FTO and student in Medic school. It'll be one or the other.

Some of you guys have some man power!
We run 3 ALS trucks, usually staffed with 1 EMT and 1 Paramedic.
EMT's are being phased out though so more and more we are running 2 Medics on each truck.
If it is a code in progress or any major trauma, we roll 2 trucks to help out, but the 2nd truck is still available to take a call if needed.
Our volunteer fire departments have always been a huge help with us though. There have been many times when no 2nd truck was available, and they respond.

On a further note, every 911 call gets a fire response as well with 1 BLS engine(with a few ALS engines in the mix) if deemed BLS through EMD, and a ALS rescue(non transporting) with 1 medic and 1 EMT if it's deemed ALS, that's when we run with county fire. If we run with 1 of the city FD's in our territory it's an ALS engine on medical calls, as they do not operate BLS engines. The other city sends an ALS rescue to all medical calls.

Rural ambulance district:

1 medic and 1 EMT or 2 medics on the ambulance. Serious sounding calls will get a second ambulance non-emergent, though it often only has one medic on board and is still available for other calls. Our one paid fire district sends 2 FF/EMTs in a pickup for most medicals, they'll roll their engine too for TAs and arrests with 3 more FFs. Our five other volunteer districts can usually turn out two or three EMTs or MFRs.

City:

1 medic and 1 EMT or 2 medics on the ambulance. Fire department also sends a 4 man engine with at least one medic or a 2 man squad with 1 medic. The squads are ambulances that do not transport unless AMR cannot provide an ambulance and they are located in busier areas to take strain off the four busiest engine companies.

The city has some ambulances now? How long has that been going on?

2 X PCP per BLS Ambulance
2X ACP per ALS Ambulance(some are "Depaired" with 1 PCP and 1 ACP)
1 X ACP per ALS Primary Response Unit (SUV)
2 X Critical Care Paramedic to make up a CCP team (flight or CC ground transfers)

Students "ride third" on trucks

Some rural area's run EMR's (180hr course) in PCP positions due to inability to staff enough PCP's (low call volume).
