Oh well, 12-hours of federal holiday pay and a great, unobstructed view of the fireworks. B)

It is with great sorrow that I realize we have made a grave mistake with our new Community Leader position. ffemt8978 has now been banned from the forum.

Talk about a contradiction in terms. I work for the TSA. We're not even on the federal pay scale. (We're so low, they created a new pay scale for us) :blink:

And you have the knowledge that you are performing a vital, nay, critical service to your community for the sheer joy of it. And always remember - smile, it could be worse. (And we smiled, and sure enough, it got worse.)

Happy 4th, all. Hope its a safe and sane one for everybody.

Got my relaxing in today. Am on duty from 6 AM to midnight tomorrow (minus a couple hours to go to my folks' for dinner) and then again Monday morning. We also have our department "beer garden" tomorrow evening and most of Monday in the park and the town parade (aka the annual water fight with the kids in town) Monday morning.

Anyone else got any big celebrations planned?

My FD has their big parade & BBQ today. That's why I'm up so early, I have set-up in 45 minutes. Oh well, so much for sleeping in - maybe I can sneak in a nap in the back of the bus later.
