Allina Health, a Minneapolis, MN-based health system, will be hiring 10+ EMT's and 15+ Paramedics at various times throughout 2013.

Allina is one of the major 911 and IFT services in the Twin Cities area. Our primary service area encompasses about 1,200 square miles in the Minneapolis / St. Paul metropolitan area and suburbs, with an approximate population of 1 million people.

We respond to approximately 60,000 911 calls and 30,000 IFT calls each year. Most 911 rigs are EMT/Medic staffed. Our IFT department provides scheduled BLS, ALS, and NICU Critical Care transports.

EMTs have progressive protocols and orders, even in IFT, including training on EKGs, and use of glucometry, nebulized albuterol, capnography, EZ-IO, and King airways. Our EMTs have standing orders for use of IM Glucagon, NTG, ASA, and epinephrine.

All 911 rigs are equipped with LUCAS 2 devices. Our cardiac arrest save rate, through aggressive streamlined treatment (including LUCAS, therapeutic hypothermia, and direct cath lab activation), is currently 15%!

Every rig uses VisiCAD Mobile and ImageTrend PCRs. All 911 rigs are equipped with Stryker cots (many are power cots) and tracked stairchairs. We are part of Minnesota's ARMER 800 MHz public safety radio system, using Motorola portables.

We have regular in-house free optional and mandatory education and training, which easily fulfills NREMT recertification requirements.

Applicants must have MN EMSRB certification, but MN offers reciprocity with NREMT certification.

We'll be posting new positions for both EMTs and Paramedics at various times, but each group is expected to have two more hirings before the end of the year. Check the following website for more info, new positions will be posted here as they open:
