Moving from Texas so the standards are low 😅 thank you for the information! Hours, equipment, and scope is a little more important than pay. Fiancé is a nurse so she makes an actual good living 😅😅😅😅
Hello,
My fiancé and I are looking at moving to Daphne Alabama area or Fairhope area. I’m a paramedic with a couple years of 911 experience. I’d rather not go fire if I had a choice, however if it’s needed, then it’s needed. Anyone know good departments for that area that pay okay with a decent...
Ok. Y’all. Obviously the maps do not have speed bumps. What my fro told me is we use the thomas guide because issuing google isn’t as reliable. Yes I took the short cut and used google. I’m only asking so I can try to get on a company in this area. Knowing how to use the thomas guide is pretty...
I’m not saying anything against google lol I have no issue with google. I’m all for it. I’m merely just trying to find out what they map with (which you answered) so I can try to be prepared. On the west coast we are not allowed to use google because it doesn’t take certain things into account...
Hello,
I'm from Cali and just moved to Texas. In Socal we use the Thomas Guide to map. But for the life of me I cannot find a Thomas Guide for anything but Cali. What do y'all use to map out here? Thank you in advance.
So Converse fire responds and transports on medical calls. So they're firefighters and paramedics. Where as Austin Travis County EMS is only paramedics. They’re not both fire and ems. Austin is a single role service.
Thank you! We’re still getting all set up here and all I can seem to find fire runs the show. My ultimate goal is atcems but until I can get on, I need a job. I have experience running calls and working in a hospital but from what I’ve seen all the hospitals only hire paramedics and I’m an EMT.
I recently moved to Converse, TX (bout 10 min outside San Antonio) and I’m looking to see what departments run 911 in surrounding areas. Thank you in advance!
Hello all! I am moving to Texas in June and looking at applying to Austin EMS. I saw they have an academy, does anyone have any info further on the academy? What workouts they do, what they go over, etc. Do they only hire paramedics or do they hire EMT B as well. Also, do they help pay for medic...
Hello all,
I am moving to San Antonio, Texas. I was wondering if anyone knows the process of changing my EMT from CA to Texas and also if anyone knows who is the 911 around those areas. Thank you!
I need to get hired on with AMR & start picking up 24 hr shifts. I used to work with McCormick but am moving to Santa Clarita. Does anyone know anything about AMR’s hiring process, physical, training after being hired, how you pick your station, or anything else I need to know about? Thank you!
I am currently an EMT in California, and my wife and I are thinking about moving to Las Vegas. I don't know much about being an EMT there, anything you can tell me would be great. Also, being an EMT in California is sadly not a career, but I know it is in other states. Is Nevada one of them...
Hello all,
I'm thinking about going to nursing school but am looking for scholarships or grants. Anyone know of any? I live in California if that makes a difference. Thank you!
