I worked for Allina for 27 years. Retired 4 years ago from them so I am sure there are some changes. They are a large system that covers inner city suburbs to very rural areas. The have multiple regions that have their own pluses and minuses. In the beginning you would probably be sent to a...
Here's an update about wages in the Minneapolis area. Hennepin EMS will now take into consideration years of service in EMS instead of starting you at the bottom. They also had a large raise. Other services in the area are also increasing wages. If I was still working in the area, I would be...
I worked for Ridgeview Ambulance and Allina Health ambulance in the Minneapolis area for 32 years. Both of these services covered the suburbs and rural areas outside of Minneapolis. Hennepin EMS is the sole provider for the city of Minneapolis and some of the suburbs. I would go to the...

The only hatred I have every witnessed is when an EMT/Paramedic brags how much sleep they got to the ER staff.
As for the general public, I think we are viewed in a very positive way. I got offers to buy my lunch on a regular basis pre Covid. It will be interesting to see if the trend...
