You guessed it. Only a 0.5" lift to fit the bigger tires, but it isn't hard to get underneath it. Rarely do I have to jack it up and I'm a big dude. I've got the new one on, I'm gonna take it over to a buddy's pretty soon so he can weld it for me. I doubt welding would be much of a deterrent...

Someone stole the catalytic converter off my truck. It was parked right in my driveway, in a very low crime area. They had about a four hour window between the time I got home and went to leave again. I don't leave anything in my truck at all. I keep some tools and basic life needs stuff...

    Response Idea - Feedback appreciated

    1) How do squad cars, ambulances, fire engines and construction crews get people's attention in bright daylight? 2) What about the other 99.635% of the year? Used in conjunction with current methods I think it could be a great addition. My questions: How would the signal be transferred to...

What was her BP? What were her pre and post dialysis weights? And yeah, you made the right choice all things considered.

    Documentation

It really depends on who I'm working for. The ambo gig is pretty big on ICHART, which I don't particularly like. Doing event work I tend to do a chronological narrative with a whole bunch of pertinent negatives that sometimes ends up looking a bit like SOAP. Pt. Is a 16yo M who ambulated to aid...

Bungled response revealed in Md. double fatal fire

I'll probably comment more extensively when I get to a keyboard, but it sounds like failure on multiple levels. Yeah, the mistakes didn't change anything this time, but it definitely revealed quite a few flaws in their checks and balances system.

Phlebotomy? A good class to take before my advanced EMT?

If you're already an EMT I'd pass straight over AEMT and phlebotomy and jump right into medic school. There's nothing that you'll get as an AEMT that you won't get as a medic. And even if you want more time in the field before medic you can challenge the AEMT after your medic clinicals

Near the bridge, down the creek, for the chest pain call.

Yup. I'd call that an inferior STEMI. I'd initiate my ACS protocol and hopefully I was smart and called ahead for additional manpower. I'm assuming the "med bag" you mentioned has a start kit and a liter saline bag, so, while I'm waiting for my lift team with a stokes basket or break away flat...
