Once I finish my paramedic program (plus a couple more general education classes) I will have earned an Associate's of Emergency Medical services. I'm tentatively planning on moving to Texas after it's all said and done with, probably fall of next year. I was wondering if anyone knows of any schools in Texas who offer a Bachelor's in EMS?

Thanks! That's awesome! I tried googling and wasn't having much luck. I found one here in Florida, but it seemed like it was more for the fire side rather than medical.

Like vent said, UTHSCSA offers one. It's entirely online though, so you wouldn't have to move to SA if it wasn't high on your list. If you have any questions, let me know- I teach part time there.

Hey, how possible, in your opinion, would it be to petition for admission to the program w/out carrying any of the common core classes? I'm debating if I can double dip and do them at GC and start the BS program this coming fall. I think it's time I get my *** in gear and get my degree.

Fixed it for you.

They've let people before without all of the prereqs, though I don't know how far they would push it (not sure if they would let not having any of them slide). You would just have to have all of your core classes knocked out prior to graduation. Would certainly be worth an email. Let me know and I'll give you the guy's contact info that you'd need.

I recreationally picked up a Bs Ed and am nearly done with a second bachelor's in healthcare management. Next will be a Master's in education, I think.

FWIW though, a lot of the Texas colleges are pretty generous in offering credit. I've also heard good things about Eastern Kentucky and Oklahoma State.

I may be bugging you too. The dirty Sturdy had me pretty sold on the program from the last time we worked together. It's either that or WGU's healthcare management BS.
