Proper Spelling? Another look...
How we present ourselves on paper comes up often, and now here's an interesting perspective:
Olny srmat poelpe can raed tihs. I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! if you can raed tihs psas it on !! >>Psas Ti ON !

I guess that goes to show how powerful the brain is, when in order to actually "read", or comprehend what's meant to be portrayed in a writing while it's "messed" up such as that.
But hey, I do agree with SeanM028 -- that is really annoying when you attempt to read a post, and the entire thing is written that way, or with other substitutes such as "your" as "ur" (not specifically that, just an example). |

The careless spellers amongst us would not take the time to follow that rule either so the result would be the same: the reader needs to work like hell to understand the writer and is most likely to stop trying because of the effort it takes. |
