Virginia EMT Enhanced to Advanced

Hello,

New to this forum. I got my EMT Enhanced in April 2012 and I think as of July 1 the new EMT Advanced is taking place of it. Its kind of hard to find any real answers to what I'm looking for. Our class was taught using the new Advanced book. Does anyone know when the Advanced is taking place and if it was on July 1 does the Enhanced automatically go to the Advanced or do you have to take a bridge class for it? I was told since we took it close to this deadline we would autmatically get the Advanced card but nobody can tell me anything about it. Thanks.

It'd help if you told us where you are.

I've heard of EMT-Enhanced once but I don't remember the context and I'm too lazy after my day at work today to go digging for it.

He is in Virginia, as it says in the subject of the thread.....

It's probably best for you to contact your state's agency that govern EMS for an official answer.

Like I said, it was a ridiculously long night.

Disregard my first post
