Hey everyone, just thought I would mention that I appreciate all the input. I got a job at a certain ambulance company thanks to all the tips I got on here. In fact, my partner at work is someone who gave me advice on this forum!!!
She is a great partner, so thanks to her and this forum...
I have been an EMT-B for almost a year now. I have ran about 800 calls, mostly 911. I love it.
However, I need some variety, and some $$$.
The only two options I can see online are either a CPR volunteer for the American Heart Association, or becoming an independent contractor and spending a...
Here in Los Angeles, it appears that the Fire Department works with ambulance companies, so each 911 call gets both FD Paramedics and Ambulance Company EMT's, am I right?

Just got my NREMT. Working on L.A. County Card, Ambulance License, etc.
After that, where is the best place to work to get experience? And maybe fairly good pay? I would like 911 experience.
AMR? McCormick? Gerber?
Are there any hospitals in the area that hire EMT's?
Thanks everyone...
