Yea the debt system is sad, yet easily fixed by turning the Federal Reserve scum of a corporation into nothing but a place to print money instead of a place to scam every American alive. Don't forget to abandon the IMF and world bank....
All the places ive applied in Washington state have required no more than i think 2 tickets on your record for anything concerning driving in the past 10 years. That's just for reference.
This is why I love part -timing so I can pick and choose when I want to work whether a 24hr shift that I might get 3-6hrs sleep during or something as little as 6,12,18hr shift. Also I find the best way to deal with keeping my sleep on the right schedule is even if I only get 1-2hrs sleep in a...
Nope I work in Washington state. They do of course get paid more but that is mostly because they are paid by the state and not a private company that is withholding as much pay as possible. Also they have more training than a regular EMT or medic since they have to be trained for the fire side.
As everyone said keep learning, not just from your coworkers but by reading anything you can to absorb some new information such as medical terminology and a new A&P book so that you have some exposure(not physically) to many different diseases. I focus on pathophysiology myself so that I may...
Can't understand why someone would do this, it is so damn easy to get some quick vitals. Hell I have access to a lifepak but still do vitals manually very often not only to continue practicing the skill but also because I do not always trust the lifepaks vitals.
As for the OP, I always consider...
I would have to agree with you on this a little because I worked in thurston county jumping calls in Olympia, Tumwater, Rainier, and Yelm and 99% of the time we needed a medic for an unstable pt or pt that was in extreme PX we would be policy 27'd which means that the medics are busy/too far...
The protocol test from what I remember is mostly scenario based but some of it would also ask like 5 or so short answer questions pertaining to indications and contraindications for albuterol or aspirin or NTG. As for how often you can take it, I believe you can take it once a day but i could be...
One way to beat the system is to be a part-timer and work full-time hours picking and choosing when and where you want to work. It all depends if your company will allow this though.
Also I forgot to say that there is really TWO CPR tests and one PT assessment test, one of the CPR tests is simply to make sure you can get between 100-110 compressions a minute for two mins and the other is to see if you know what to do in CPR with more than one person to do it. Im pretty sure...
I passed thurston county medic ones protocol test on the 2nd try, got 79% on first and 96% on 2nd so it is not as hard as people tend to say. The cpr tests are very easy if you review the basics of cpr and get a good rhythm to your cpr to get yourself between 100-110 compressions a minute for 2...
Depends on where you are in Washington state cuz in clark county AMR has a stranglehold over 911 ambulance jobs and they usually wont hire you w/o some kind of exp even if you ace their Exams and do well in the interview. I have seen a few consistant postings for emts in Olympia for emt basics...
Yea it is but if you paid attention during emt class then you would have known a good chunk of the info before ever taking ICS-100 and ICS-700 since you learn some of the info during Hazmat, MCI and Incident Management chapters of the brady emt book. I was told the online class took 3 hours but...
