Hi everyone,

My fiancé and I are moving out to Cincinnati in the summer of 2017. Does anyone recommend any good places to work as a Paramedic in the general Cincinnati/Dayton area, either on a 911 ambulance or in the hospital preferably in the ER. Currently I work as a 911 Paramedic in a very busy system in the Bay Area of California and have about 3.5 years experience as a 911 medic and another 3 years experience as a 911 EMT. From what I understand in Cincinnati the Fire Department handles the 911 transports and then the smaller rural areas outside of the city seem to have private ambulances, thats what I seemed to notice when visiting her family out there the few times I've visited. Also if anyone knows what the average pay rate for either ambulance or hospital ER medic jobs in the Cincinnati area is that would be nice to know also.

Thanks for any input!

Actually most areas surrounding Dayton area seems to have fire based Ems with privates for nets. Depending what area of cincy could look into ky possibly for work.

Louisville has non-fire based municipal 911 EMS but if you're closer to Dayton that's quite a trip.

Thanks for the responses. We just put in an offer on a house in Hebron, Kentucky. Looks like AMR in Erlanger has medic openings. Anyone know anything about that operation; pay rates, 911 or IFT, system status management or quarters posting, etc?

Medic550 what do you mean by the privates do nets, are nets like Interfacility Transports? I'm hoping to do 911 and minimal to none IFT's if possible.
