So I got a wild hair up my behind and decided to obtain the BCCTPC's FP-C. Various reasons, mostly just personal desire. Took a prep course last week, paid and faxed my card yesterday.

I'm sure there is someone else here that has taken it. what was your experience?

Good test, fair but difficult. I actually enjoyed it lol. I'd recommend a review book with practice questions (ACE SAT or Back To Basics are good) so you have a good idea where you stand.

My friends recommended the ACE SAT. I haven't scheduled yet; I might have the ace sat sent to my work via Amazon (prime is awesome isn't it?). I feel good about it, but between the prep class and Anthony Baca's voice- my mind is a pretzel lol

Baca's videos are good but his voice is very nasally. The ACE SAT will help you to think in terms of what they are looking for and what you have to extrapolate from the information given. Wingfield's videos are great to.

Good luck!

Agree both of the options as test preps stated above are great. I took Baca's review class in person about 8 years ago over two days and it was awesome. Having the critical care knowledge/time on a unit to go with the review will also help you. I know 911 transport medics with not IFT transport time who have struggled with the exam. All in all it is a challenging exam, however I believe extremely fair.
