Greetings, Everyone!

On these forums my name is RiderMedic but my real name is Scott Sturm and I've been in EMS since 2001 with the last 11 years as a Paramedic. I've done both ground and flight critical care transports during my years in Pittsburgh, New York, and now my current home, Texas. Last December I set about brainstorming projects to work on, inventions if you will, and I came up with a total of six.

Today I begin the journey towards making the first one a reality: the one-handed endotracheal airway device. The patent has already been applied for and now I've started a kickstarter project to raise funds for the prototypes. Specifically, enough for three prototypes with each costing approximately $9,000.

The project can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1257796774/one-handed-endotracheal-airway-device

I look forward to any questions you may have and any support you may give!

Thank You!

Scott W. Sturm, EMT-P, FP-C

Kickstarter is hard, especially when you don't have a finished product to offer as a reward. In the future, perhaps look to another platform that offers people to donate without the constraint of a minimum amount of pledges prior to completion.

Indiegogo comes to mind, but there are lots of these platforms now that it's been proven as a successful model for making money.

Thanks for advice. Everyone was like "use Kickstarter!" and I had even contributed to a project on there so I went with it.

Just stumbled upon this post, I may have no clue what I'm talking about, but you could try IdeaLab.
