    Things left behind.....

Yeah. I mean, it's not like your partner is important or anything.... Eh, they'll get over. You can get mad at them when they leave something next time

    Driving an ambulance

Eh, some volunteer places will take you as just a driver, but will make you sign a contract agreeing to take an EMT-B course within 6mo to a year. As a driver with an EMT-B cert or at least a first responder cert, you will much more valuable, esp on-scene. As a job, you can basically forget it...

Here, a ladder and 2 engines and fire-medic and an ambulance respond to anything not just medical...which, here, it means they come quite often. We air lift about once a month.

Anyone use pager/email emergency incident services?

Do I have one? Yeah. Do I use it? Not really. Only carry it on busy nights when I don't have my radio.

Entering Army as 68W/Combat Medic if already a civilian NREMT-Paramedic?

You can skip the first 4-8 weeks. I don't recommend you do though. The military does things their way and it's very different compared to the civilian way. Especially since you're like me and just getting ready to come out of EMT-P school, no offense, but our minds have been set to do things one...

Poll about our participants' military status
