This Group is open to all Members of a Wilderness Search and Rescue Team or other Organization that provides Wilderness EMS; regardless of location in the world or their current status or level of training... as long as you are a current active member of a group that understands what it means to be cold, tired, wet, sore, unpaid, and unthanked, just so that you can proudly proclaim "These Things We Do So That Others May Live!"
Outdoor Medical Care doesn't have to be the focus. Search and Rescue Professionals do everything the Fire Department and Forest Service can't or won't do, which might include Wilderness Search, High Angle Rope Rescue, Swiftwater Rescue, Dive Recovery, Helicopter Rescue, Nordic/Avalanche Rescue, Dog Handling, and even Urban Disaster Response. If you have anything to offer as a SAR Professional in these areas, join us, post cool stories and pictures, and post interesting links and facts you have come across that mght help you fellow responders do their duty...
