Hi there,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm an EMT on Long Island New York. Just wanted to see who all is out there. I'll be starting my CC class in September, any tips for the class will be appreciated. Thanks

Well, you and Cap't Crunch (WHAT? you are the RESCUE captain :D ) should get along just fine, as she loves to rub in that she is a CC from Long Island.

I, being from PA, don't know Long Island from Manhattan Island or Martha's Vineyard. I do know the difference between a Ferno 35A, a 35A+, a 35P, and a 35P with LBS. I'm not the fourm's TOP whacker, but I did pass that test with flying colors.

Also, good to here on -CC school. I start my -P school ride time at the end of the month.

Anywhoo... welcome to our asylum.

Yeah you could.... He would join in the beating, and there would be much rejoycing.

I thought Capt' of Crunch was a good moniker - should we have a poll?

Good for you about CC - I feel your pain! I took that and the CPA exam at the same time...

I'm with Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CVAC) and Eaton's Neck Volunteer Fire Department (ENFD). Commack is north of LIE exit 52 - We cover all of Commack and parts of Hauppauge and East Northport. Eaton's Neck is ALL the way north of LIE exit 51 - I'm closer to CT than to most of Long Island!

Welcome to the boards!

I used to live in Farmingdale, I miss it, we had the best Deli just down the street from our house. I can't eat potato salad anymore because I got spoiled on them.

But I don't miss the snow, so my happy butt will stay right here.

I see your from Florida..I don't blame you for wanting to stay out there where it is warm..I have thought about moving to Florida, but i have tons of family here in New York. Soo i have no choice but to deal with the snow
