I was discussing JUST this rule with a new trainee last night.... Then we got to the ED, transferred Pt. care, I ran to bathroom, and after finishing up (when we were all but ready to go) pointed him in the direction of the bathroom. I got out to the truck with the other 2 crewmembers and we started to leave. MDT goes off. We go responding to 2nd call in district for someone doing the tuna, and as we arrive I (in back) get asked where the ride-along went to. I said I guess he's still using the bathroom - Oops :o :D .
