Does anyone know of a good book to learn pharmacology better than what they teach in medic school? I know my drugs but not as a comfortable I would like to be with them. I would like to understand them rather than just know them.

it depends on what you are looking for. i have several pharm books for prehospital pharm but as ttlwhkr said the pdr is the ultimate guide for all pharm. however i think i only understand about half of the words in the entire book!!!!! lol

Yeah, I have the PDR but, I am looking for a book that go into the classes of drugs and how they function. And a bit more in english than the PDR :)

Check out some nursing pharmacology books. I have a few and they do a really good job of explaining the pathophysiology associated with the drug classes and each drug individually.
