Avatars

I would like to use an avatar but the system will not allow it? Am I doing something wrong.

This is what I see below:

Thx for the fast reply, but no it does not work. there is no option to upload or link an AVATAR.

How ever I was able to put a personal picture in my profile area without any issue.

To me it looks like the AVATAR option is locked from an admin point of view.

Okay, I loaded your profile pic as your avatar. Can you now change your avatar to what ever you want?

Do me a favor and try loading a different avatar to see if it works. I think I found the problem with the forum permissions, but want to make sure.

Ok, I did that earlier and some worked and some did not. They all showed but several did not "work" so maybe it is hit and miss? :wacko:

There's a limit on the size of the avatars, and the image type. It's possible you exceeded the allowable size limit.

Hey Boss 8978! I tried to upload my profile pic as an avatar also, but have been unsuccessful. Can you help me as well? 376 says I can't do it because I'm still a probie here in the chat room. If that is so, I'll keep posting until I am worthy.

Try going to your UserCP (http://www.emtlife.com/profile.php?do=editoptions) and making sure Show Avatars is checked.

Change is hard, I know! I miss the old forum too in some respects. The new forum is the web standard though, and a lot of people like all of the new features. We've also had lots of new signups recently because of the new forum, so I can't complain about that.
