I wanted to point, for all of our new members, that we have a Chat Room in addition to our forum. Just scroll top the top of any page on this site and in the upper right corner you'll see "Live Chat!". Just click on it and enter in your forum username and password.

Hope to see you there.

I tried logging into chat, but it will not let me in. I used my user name and password, and no success. Do I have to have a certain amt of posts before I can chat?

I'm not for sure. Maybe 10? I'll ask my fellow mods.

Oops. 10 is advertising. It's either 30 or 50 for chat.

No, it's some odd ball number that we came up with. Let me investigate.

You sould be able to log into the chat. What happens when you try? What browser and operating system are you using?

TTLWHKR

It was either 27, 32, 35, 37 or 39.

Thanks for the quick reply MMiZ. I'm using Windows XP home. With the standard e explorer. When I attempt to log into chat it says "user/password invalid". Maybe after a few more posts it will recognize me. lol,,,Can I post my call sheets. hahahaha,,just kidding. It just gives me more fortitude to read and keep up with everyone if I dont have enough posts yet.

Also, are you logging into the chat EXACTLY as you do here? Same capitalization and everything?

Still unable to log into chat, 34 posts total (including this one) and I still cannot log in.

I think you should check your chat program, it may not be accepting new members OR can you make the chat to where if you are logged into the forums that chat recognizes that and thus automatically logs you into chat as well??

Just a thought or two.

All members of the forum are supposed to be members of the chat room.

I'll send an email to Matt.

What kind of problems are you having? I just created a regular member account and logged in via a different computer.

It says I do not have permission to login to live chat. I put my username and password in, and it still won't let me in.

Ok, I have tried logging in for the chat, using my s/n & password. Did not work, login user/password incorrect was the first, then the 2nd was I do not have permission. This was tried with both Browsers

WindowsXP IE6, & Firefox

But might want to add an advanced use toolbar to insert images so they display correctly....

Depending on what you add to vbulletin you might have to change the cookie path to ./emtlife/ or whatever the option is in the admincp and set it the same in flashchat, photopost, vbgallery, etc so that it follows you through the whole site. I pulled hair literally figuring that one out.

There is also an issue with logins from AOL. Supposedly users checking the "remember me" box helps.

I like the look, nice upgrade!

CaptainPanic

I can offer to ask a friend who has had experience with vBulletin software to see what he says about all of the above to see that things display correctly.

But MMiz you did an outstanding job with the new forum, it looks very professional yet welcoming. Keep up the good work, we know youre still trying to get all the kinks worked out. :)

I have written down all the issues and will work on them through the next week.

I started the upgrade at 12:40 AM and finished this morning around 8:00 AM or so.

There are several issues that will be taken care of :)

I've went to the EMTLife chatroom a few times, either no one else comes in, or the folks that are there are AFK. It would be nice to talk to some of you sometime. :)

I think we've tried it before but maybe we should set up a weekly chat time. I don't chat very often but I would make time to.
