hey all!!

Have a quick question for anyone willing to answer it, Im stuck between taking Nursing this Jan. or becoming a Paramedic. I kinda like the thought of being in the field as a paramedic as im sorta a action junky in a way (joined army reserves at 17-fully trained at 18) and I dont mind stressfull situations at ALL. Infact I get a rush out of remaing calm in them.. lool.

Does anyone know what I would need to take in order to become hired with a hospital within canada as a Paramedic. My one EMT friend was saying it wasnt worth it to become a paramedic for the extra work, but i seriously doubt that. Especially if its going to be my career.

Thanks in advance! :D

if you're an adrenaline junky, don't go to EMS.

I have a friend who is going into nursing. She got her EMT and it took a couple courses off her semester. As for working as an EMT-P...I'm not sure. You have a better change of working in the emergency dept then other nurses even with your EMT. But why go into nursing? It's way too much of a controlled environment for me!!
